“With so much interest in going to Australia to study, work or just for holidays, we felt Chileans were not getting the best preparation for their stay over there.”
– Benjamin Blomfield
The Australian English Institute (AEI) was founded by Benjamin Blomfield and McInneny, two Australians living in Chile. Sensing the need for an institute that specializes in Australian English, McInneny and Blomfield decided to create the AEI to teach people living in Santiago everything about their country through its language.
On the hunt for native teachers, Blomfield and McInneny formed a special team of Australians to teach their language, accent and slang. With courses for beginners up to experts, the AEI offers a unique experience and instills its students with the tools needed to achieve their goals in the land of kangaroos, big beaches, sun and smiles.
“People going over there to work or study, have nowhere to learn and get used to the Australian language. There are institutes for American, British and Canadian English, but there is nothing that helps you with our speech.” – Anthony McInneny
